Hi Pamela! Lovely to see your post here today. Great to hear you have been busy making and settling into your new home. So good that you gave yourself a break from posting at this very busy and stressful time. We are always here. Do what you need to do. A home base is our anchor, the seed from which all else grows. with love from me in NZ. ❤️❤️❤️
Ps I could stare at that oil painting all day - exquisite.
Hi Jo! It has been really good for me to take some time for myself in the midst of settling in. It is so quiet here and in the midst of settling in, I find myself just sitting in the quiet every morning listening to the birds and watching the critters in the field. At some point I'll start getting back to work! Hope you are enjoying your new place! Xoxo
I shared this with my wife who used to paint a lot and the house is filled with her oils and watercolors, scenes of her youth in Finland and later special moments.
This painting just always blows me away... I could stare it all day. them sneaking a passing touch. it is a masterpiece. And I did not know it was watercolor! Thank you for finding the song. I have read it three times... bless her. I can't imagine the heartbreak.
Roxanne, it is an amazing painting and mind-boggling to me that it is a watercolor. The depth of color seems too rich for watercolor. I’m so glad you enjoyed!
Lovely post, Pamela! Thoroughly enjoyed and glad to put some new knowledge under my belt as well! Love those connections! AND, a watercolor??!! WOW! Stunning! Thanks so much for sharing all of this! Many blessings and MUCH LOVE, ~Wendy💜
I LOVE this Art of the Day post. The painting is stunning, and like you, I find the colors beautiful. I was shocked that it was watercolor. I could have sworn it was an oil painting! I paint in oils, as you know, but I recently took a watercolor course -- and I find that although oils are my favorite, I'm getting to love watercolors, too.
I so love that painting and I plan to use it for my next Art Detectives club meeting. It's simply beautiful and although it's only 1 picture. It certainly is worth a 1000 words. Thank you for sharing such a lovely thing.
Good news that you are taking the needed time to settle into your new place, Pamela. I really like the emphasis on paintings in this post. I've been to the Van Gogh museum once and it was transformative, beautiful.
I too have been completely incapable of keeping up with my writing schedule Pamela… I understand so well the pulls of life necessities whether invited and enjoyed or otherwise - in my case it has been more of the otherwise but I’ve one day to go and with luck more time for me and what I love ! I truly hope the same moment comes to you with arms open and words flowing once again… look after yourself lovely - take all the time you need Ari settle and acclimatize to your new home - these things can’t be rushed!! Muck love ♥️xxx
I didn't know that was a watercolor!
Kevin, I was also surprised to see that. The richness of the colors is extraordinary.
