I hope you all enjoy today’s Daily Affirmation…
As a writer I often struggle with my voice, and question whether my words are touching others lives in the way I intend them to.
Writers, artists and other creatives often struggle with their creative talents and find it difficult at times to properly express themselves through their given medium.
This is true for all people, as it speaks to a question of whether or not I am good enough, or capable of doing a good job in any vocation.
It is important for us to learn that we can cross that bridge, and put our self-doubt behind us when it arises.
The bottom-line is that all people at one time or another suffer from self-doubt.
In these moments of self-doubt, we each must remind ourselves that in doing our best, we will succeed. Today’s Daily Affirmation speaks to these issues…
Today, I honor the place in me that knows who I am.
I am filled with a warm sense of comfort by honoring all that I am as a creative woman, a writer and photographer. (Insert your descriptors)
I thank the Spirit that moves through me and brings my creations, and my work into fruition.
Whatever self-doubt I am feeling, I release that.
Whatever difficulty I am finding in expressing myself, I release that.
If I am feeling stuck, I release that.
If I find my creative spark, I embrace that.
Today, I will let my imagination wander and see what manifests.
Today, I will let my open mind and open heart guide me in whatever I endeavor to do.
All is as it should be.
I will go forth on this day, knowing that I will do my best, in all that I do.
And so it is…
Intent makes manifest.
Namaste... Pamela
Sometimes it is all about inspiration, isn’t it.
Some of us crave and need interaction and stimulation to dig deep into their inspirational well. Some of us get inspired more easily that others. Sometimes it is a mix of all of this for creative people.
For me, interaction and stimulation work wonders. I live alone, so there are definitely times when I crave the company of others. It’s not always a good thing to have too much time spent alone in your head.
That said, I love when I have a friend to walk and talk with that, that always gets my imagination and creativity flowing.
I think it all goes back to going with the flow, as I often say — “Be in the moment and go with the flow.”
If you are stuck creatively, maybe you need to sit with that for a little while.
Or, perhaps you might need to grab a piece of paper and a pen or pencil, and doodle. I’m not a big doodler. I tend to doodle things like the flowers on the quote above.
Put a camera in my hands, and I can usually find something to inspire me, like a duck on a winter’s day. This beautiful Mallard duck is totally going with the flow!
And so today, I will follow these guiding words, “I will go forth on this day, knowing that I will do my best, in all that I do.”
