I’ve been walking a lot in recent days, taking advantage of the somewhat cooler summer temperatures, while working on healthier habits, being more active, not sitting as much, more steps every day, all that good stuff.
It goes without saying that less sitting means less computer times and my spending a little less time posting here on Words and Pictures by Pamela Leavey. Walking is something I have always enjoyed, but I feel fell out the habit and things fell apart.
This is the thing about getting older, we need to stay active. I’m hoping to get back into the habit of getting outside walking with my camera more often.
In the meantime, here’s some egrets — actually one Snowy Egret, from late May.
I hope you all enjoy…
The three sets of images below are Uncropped and Cropped versions of the same photos, creating Snowy Egret Diptychs.
And now on to some single photos, cropped and uncropped, see my Related Post below for more about working with the photography equipment that you’ve got and appreciating the beauty around you. Honestly speaking I’d love to have a 500mm lens for birding. Maybe when I have 500 paid subscribers here on Substack, I will be able to invest in one! But seriously, please do subscribe, Free or Paid…

One last crop and not crop diptych…
I am so grateful for your time and presence here on Words and Pictures by Pamela Leavey, it is because of you all that I am here sharing my work with you all!
All photographs were taken at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, which I oft refer to as the Refuge. I’ve been going there since I was a small child.
