I love this affirmation and the photograph and meaning of the anchored boat. It also brought back memories of my dad who would always say that all good things come to those who wait. So thank you for all of this today.
Thank you Dave. It is late in the day golden light. I used to live across the street from the boat shop and I could see the afternoon light hitting the west wall and I would grab my camera and go take photos!
Oh, and by the way... I am having one last free poetry workshop (before I start the six week somatic intensive in November.) It is on 10/30/24 at 6 pm ET. Theme? The heart... I think we need it. Our hearts are practically calling up like ET's light a light heart: You can sign up here: https://us02web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZAtfuGprDwsGtPnymzOw4CkBomV2c8eaSBA#/registration
I like this affirmation Pamela - especially with the idea of being tethered to my core. I think of my core as like an eternal immovable centre: "Sometimes I need to remind myself to stay tethered to my core, breathe and wait."
Pamela, this affirmation hit right in the guts! How did you know I needed this today. I’ve found myself in a pickle, a good pickle, but a pickle nonetheless! 🤍
Caroline, I am so glad this resonated today! I've been in a pickle for a bit now, so can relate. My pickle has been stressful. Hopefully now it is easing up!
Pamela, I love this post! Your affirmation on patience, complemented by your beautiful photos of the tethered boats, is first rate. I found myself deep breathing and relaxed reading your affirmation.
Thank you. This just reminded me of how far I’ve come in the past year. Everything was happening at such a fast pace that now that everything has slowed down, it feels like backward movement instead of just anchoring in place. I am going to go into meditation now to visualize the boat
Elizabeth, I'm so glad this resonated with you. I've had a rather fast paced year too and I'm looking forward to a slower pace as the shorter days set in. 🙂
All good things come to those who wait... I can't even begin to remember the amount of times my dear dad said these words to me Pamela, like you I was always impatient, like you I am learning... goodness its taken some doing though and I still feel the dreaded frustration of not moving fast enough creeping in... thankfully now, I recognise the symptoms and curb the flow, hit rewind and begin again... with a patient heart leading!
this was gorgeous - thank you for the affirmation xx

Hi Monica, My mom always told me that, "good things come"... and it took me forever to learn that! I'm so glad this resonated with you today.
So you always have great photos, but the watercraft today are stunning. The light has to be the golden hour. Early or late in the day?
Thanks for sharing.

This resonates so strongly today! And the thought of being a boat drifting on the water is so powerful and helpful. Thanks, Pamela!
Cherie, I am so glad this resonated with you today! I can tell you can use a nice drift on the water!
P.S. 16 years ago today was the morning I was passing through Flagstaff on my cross country journey.
Wow - I was likely here that day. We’ve been here 27 years. If only we had known each other then!
We could have met! Who knows maybe somehow we will! 💞
"...think of yourself as a boat at anchor, waiting to drift on the water as the water shifts and moves."
Ok. I will take this with me into my days. As a fiery impulsive Aries who can weep when asked to wait... I am going to hold that anchor!
Corie, I am so glad this resonated with you. I have a lot of water, triple Scorp, so I like to keep moving. An anchor is always good for me!

Thanks Corie! I just signed up, will see if the 3rd time is the charm as they say!
The Tao is strong in you Pamela! 👏
Baird, Thank you for seeing me here. The Tao has long been with me.

Neil, I am so glad this resonated. I agree about the immovable center as our core. I'm so glad this spoke to you today!

I so understand the importance of learning patience! And although I have come some way along that path you have given me a great reminder! Thank you 🙏
Anna, I'm so glad you found this resonated with you. Thank you.
Beautiful post, Pamela. I’m catching up this week which is its own form of practicing patience.:)
Heidi, I feel like all I do lately is catch up and yes that is it's own form of of patience!
