Thanks so much Karen. It is a wonderful thing to be able to walk beside the water. I never take it for granted that I am lucky to live near the ocean.

A beautiful beach Pamela. How lovely to have access to it. Love the Jelly fish photograph!!

Thank you Shital. There are more than a few nice beaches in my area. Most of them I prefer in the off season months when there are not crowds of people at them. The jelly fish was a treat for me, I had not seen one in some time.

Beautiful intentional photographs. Really like the tide pools, and the first time I ever saw a Lion’s Mane Jellyfish. It sure is an appropriate name. Thanks for allowing us to partake in your walk.

Thank you so much Monica! I love the tidal pools. They are the best a little later in the summer when the water really starts getting warmer.

Love this Pamela, it very much has the sense of being there.......really lovely. Nothing like the being by the sea with all senses, very cleansing, like being beside a babling brook.

Thanks you Graham! I am glad to hear you could sense being there!

Yes, but we never went to the beach until after 3pm and there was plenty of shade. Every mid June to early September we were in the UK or Europe, so fortunately missed the hottest times. One summer, London was our stop over and we travelled to the US instead. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

The beach can be very oppressive in the heat. I prefer to go later in the day when less people are there. My mom would bring my sister and I to the beach at at 8am and we would stay until 6pm when I was a child.

WOW! Love the pictures. That is a HUGE fish. I too wonder what kind. I wish that I could help but I don't fish either. Like you, I love the design the waves create! It's just like the clouds. Art coming straight from nature. It's astounding. Anyway, great post. Thanks so much for sharing it.

Thanks so much Angela! I am so glad you enjoyed the beach photos. The fish is a “striper.”

I love those ocean photos. I walked along the shore yesterday too. I was on the very cold Pacific Ocean side though. It was foggy and the surf was up. Lots of crashing waves and lots of cool rocks. I took a zillion photos of waves and shells and sand patterns. But mostly I just breathed in the ocean air and appreciated the moments of calm in a troublesome world. Thank you for your post.

Got to have beach walks and ocean air. It is so healing. I miss the west coast beaches sometimes. Zuma and Trancas were my favorite L.A. beaches!

I spent my childhood in the LA area but left for college in the Bay area and never went back down south. The Sonoma, Mendocino, and delNorte County beaches are my favoirte.

I never really spent any time in Nor Cal. My daughter went to UCSC for a year before we moved back to New England.

Pamela i grew up on the northeast coast and we raised our family there. If my family was not here in Colorado I would return there. At 81 I just cannot move back. I miss the beach. Its very beautiful here but no beaches.🥲

I'm hanging in Allan. I am going to need shoulder surgery, one of the two issues I have been in PT for. They finally ordered and MRI and found my bicep is dislocated and I have a subscapular tear. So two months of PT down the drain. How are you?

I've had shoulder surgery. PT is not down the drain. I'll bet it strengthened your shoulder for surgery. This too will pass and you will feel better. For me it was rotator cuff surgery. Uncomfortable but I got through and felt much better
