Thank you katsden! Boxland is very odd. It's been a while for me and I'm not feeling in a rush to go through them yet. I think I am also not in a rush to start a flowerpot garden. What is calling to me is to get out and walk!
💖💖💖 Lovely to see you here today Pamela. So good to hear that the move is nearly done. You have been repotted. Pour in some nutrients, and water and turn your face to the sun. A fresh bloom is manifesting in and through you. xx
Hi Jo! I have been repotted! I am all finished moving things, so on to unpacking. Also shedding myself of things that don't fit. The weather has been damp and chilly, but sun is coming soon and I am going to get back to walking. xoxo.
Thanks Jo! I had a really good sleep last night, the best since I have been here. I can certainly use more too! Love and sunny days back to you in your new home! xoxo
Beautiful post of the hollyhocks, Pamela. Your photos are wonderful and remind me of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings. I’m glad to hear that you’ve gotten through your move and look forward to new writings from you.
Thank you Heidi! O'Keeffe has been a long time inspiration for me. I'm looking about at a mess of boxes and very much feeling as though they can wait! I need to recharge and reconnect to walking. I'm out of balance!
Flowers seem to be ALL wild, even when cultivated.
Weeding? And you don't like it?
The only WEEDS to not like are those that are so invasive and destructive: I actually spray poison ivy and brambles! Not with anything ground clear, but something that lets me start to once again appreciate all the rest.
The hollyhocks are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing this post again, as I wasn't even on Substack in 2023 and would've missed it.
I'm glad your move is going OK. Moving is never fun, in my opinion.
I do garden and HATE weeding. I have several plants that I don't remember the names of, but I know I have purple coneflower and two ornamental grasses. Having a garden is a blessing and good exercise.
Hi Beth, Yes, gardening is both a blessing and good exercise. I'm okay to leave it behind for now and maybe one day I will garden again and start fresh! I have enough to do getting settled without trying to move my garden plants as well. One of friends came and took a lot of the plants from the gardens today so I can always get some of those plants from her next year! I'm taking a little rest and tackling boxes tomorrow! Hope you are doing well.
Your pink hollyhocks photos are stunning. Right now, my daisies are just getting ready to pop. I think they just might be my favorite flower. As I recently wrote in my intro, I love gardening except for the weeding part. lol
Hi Nancy, I don't know anyone who likes weeding! I stopped weeding and let alone lot of the weeds grow last year and found may were wildflowers. It was a fun experiment. I love daisies too! The always remind me of my mother.
How anyone can build a home with our access to water for a garden is beyond me Pamela, I am so sorry, even more so when I know the pleasure it gave you. I am so relieved to hear you are as good as moved in though, I truly hope you can make a warm and comfortable place inside your new walls if not outside!
Apologies for the delay in responding... I am now ten days behind on reading posts here - keeping up at this time of year is also beyond me but I read everyone I subscribe to and refuse to abandon them so delayed it is! At least until holidays arrive in three weeks... I am counting the days now - always a good sign that there close!
Much love dear lady, I hope the week is kind to you xx
Always lovely. Always blooming
Thank you!
wealth of wild dandelions and hollyhocks jocking for a space to strut their ways makes a splash in the corners of my eyes.
Indeed, Richard!

Hang in there, Pamela! Moving is like running on a log.:)
Ha ha ha! I love that analogy Heidi!
It’s the perfect image for so many things in life!
It really is!

Then I can love it all. And your photos shine!
Jill, I agree, even cultivated flowers are wild! I am so happy you enjoyed the flower photos!

Pink and a bit of purple-blue: all lovely!
Thank you Mary!
I used to have some huge hollyhocks and i miss them. They died off and I just don't have a place for them anymore,
They are really such a beautiful, showy flower. I can remember my mom have a few different colors.
Gorgeous flowers. Enjoy your new home, lovely post thank you.
Thank you Prajna!
Hi Pamela, I'm glad your move has gone well. It's great to read one of your posts and see your wonderful photos.
Thank you Rod! I'm enjoying some downtime now as I slowly unpack and find places for beloved treasures in boxes.
