Really nice imagery in this poem, Pamela. I especially like the Cupid's arrow photo as well. Thanks for sharing.

Neil, I am so glad you enjoyed. That "cupid's arrow" was a lucky find floating down river.

Thank you for this heartwarming post, Pamela. The photography is beautiful and I especially like the reflections and Cupid’s arrow, that single image in the river. And the poem is amazing with a cadence that really resonates with the tide. Have a great weekend.

Heidi, I am so glad you enjoyed the poem and the photography. Who would have ever thought to see a branch shaped like an arrow floating by on the river. Thank you!

You really saw the river with the branch at a special moment. Great eye!

I was definitely meant to capture that scene!

Cupid's Arrow drifting is a beautiful and meaningful image. Valentines is especially poignant for me this year, the first time I have been on my own in many a year. I took myself out for lunch. It was okay.

John, I'm so glad you enjoyed the poem and the Cupid's Arrow adrift, which seems to be the big hit of this post. I've had more alone Valentine's Days than I would like to admit to at this stage in life. The river is always my steady. It does seem to get easier in time, the solo Valentine's Day. Hugs!

"I clearly see the truth of life", and it is through this lens that we can deepen our connection with all life, it allows us to go oh so deep, together.

Pamela, I love this poem, especially that you begin and end the poem with the same gorgeous stanza:

Oh, how you tug me

This way, and that.

I am caught-up in your tides

Like a lover, unable to break free.

I'm reading your post after Valentine's Day, but the poem has staying power.
