Good morning, Pamela! It is so nice to see you enjoying Mother Earth, especially the ocean. The water off the New England coast is definitely cold, so these brave souls are either old-timers or surprised newbies with "bracing temperatures." I hope you are settling in. Thank you for your posts. Have an amazing day!
Hello Alicia, I love living near the ocean. I don't indulge much in braving the cold waters these days, but when I was a child I spent most of the day in the water. I always wonder how people living across the pond and on the North Sea do it. I can't imagine the "polar dip" thing being something I would enjoy!
I am settling in slowly and just enjoying the quiet here. After where I was, it is such a gift.
The beach, the waves, the clouds... Beautiful. It's been a while (2016) since I walked on a beach. Thank you for reminding me that the waves roll in... and the waves roll out... no matter what's going on in my life or the world.
Hi Joni, I am so glad you enjoyed the post. The ocean, as uncertain as it is, always holds that certainty that the waves roll in and out and there is comfort and joy in that.
Thank you for the photos of the ocean. I hope to get there sometime this year. It brings me joy knowing you went there, walked and felt a sense of peace.
Love the video, I lived by the ocean many years ago and the sound and moving landscape of waves is calming. Glad you are finding peace amongst the bustle of moving, well done😊
Pamela, YAY! It sounds like the tide has turned indeed. So happy to hear you were able to get out on the beach for a walk.
"So many boxes, no room!" is currently my mantra which I am working on to change to be a more nourishing one like: "Living life, in the moment. Taking it slow. No rush." 😊
Wonderful to hear that you are able to replant some of your flowers at a friend's. I am sensing a new "gardening, living life in the moment", group will be formed in due course by your wonderful self. F..K the "powers to be". You will be able to show how beneficial to mind body spirit community and Mother Earth planting and enjoying a garden is. 🥰💖🌻
Hi Jo, The boxes are slowly unpacking as I look around and see a little space here for something and a little space there. Most of the boxes are filled with books, books I can not part with, because I might need to re-read them, or find a quote in one, or just remember the joy I got from reading them!
I hope you are also settling in to your new place. I've been so lax in my communications here. The quiet has been such a gift. The nature and birdsong just outside of my desk window. I sit here mornings and soak it in. Gardening is sometimes just digging our own roots in. xoxo
Oh Pamela, how wonderful to receive your heart warming message! So happy to hear this. No need to communicate btw - I know how hard it is to find the time when you are shifting your entire life.
Yes keep those books! You will creatively find a way to stack them along the walls.
Just love this: "Gardening is sometimes just digging our own roots in" 💜💜💜 Thanks so much for finding the time to reply - never expected but always a treat. xx
Wonderful walk on the beach, Pamela! It's great to know you've made your first summer walk, that your garden will take root in a new home, and that we can share the waves with you. Poetry in motion.
I'm sure you found walking on the beach just what you needed. I loved the video; it's so calm to hear the water lapping. The clouds look so magnificent, and it's heartening to see several people enjoying the beach.
Lovely Pamela ✨️ and inspirational..you mentioned transplanting your perennials to your friends...I just retrieved the log of "what used to be" in my gardens so I can bring them back to their splendor...
Thank you April. I am happy my perennials have a new home. It was a better and easier thing for me to do, rather than try to get settled in my new apartment and garden at the same time. Good luck with your gardens, I hope you will share about them!

No better place than the beach to nurture your being 💙🙏🏼🌊
Love the ocean beach walks. I haven’t been since summer of 2011.
